About Me
Chris Wright is a journalist, author and photographer. In addition to his travel writing, he is an award-winning business and finance journalist specialising in Asia, the Middle East and Australia.
As a travel writer and journalist, Chris's work has appeared in publications including the Qantas in-flight magazine, the Sophisticated Traveller supplement of the Australian Financial Review, The Independent in the UK, Discovery Channel Magazine and Asian Geographic. As a photographer, his work has appeared in many of those publications as well as The Los Angeles Times.
Chris's first book, No More Worlds to Conquer, was published by HarperCollins in 2015. It features interviews with people who will always be known for one defining moment and asks them how they moved on from it, from astronauts who walked on the moon to Olympic gymnast Nadia Comaneci, from sound barrier-breaking Chuck Yeager to former Lebanon hostage John McCarthy.
Chris has visited over 90 countries and reported from more than 50, conducting one-on-one interviews with seven current or former prime ministers and presidents along the way.
